Come and spend a relaxing and tranquil holiday with us all year round in the locality of San Pietro, just 4kms up the mountain from the town of Borgo val di Taro, province of Parma, in the Tuscan Emilian Apennines.
Our property, Selvolina, comprises three buildings, the main house, Casa Anita, and a third original dwelling which was then used as a stable and chestnut drying room. The latter is unoccupied and each of the buildings are completely independent with their own entrances, parking and terraces.
Extensive uncontaminated woodlands of chestnut, oak and beech trees surround the property with plenty of well kept ancient pathways to enjoy walking, mountain biking, porcini mushroom hunting in season or to simply take in the superb views of the valley lounging by the pool or by the wood fire in winter.
Enjoy excellent local food in what has been referred to as ‘The Silicon Valley of Food’ ranging from the world known Prosciutto di Parma, Culatello, Parmigiano Reggiano and Porcini mushrooms, as well as other less well known, but equally delicious, Agnolini in Brodo, Gnocco Fritto, Cinghiale with polenta etc. Borgo Val Di Taro is also member of the Slow Food movement.
This is a wonderful opportunity to flavour the ‘real Italy’ with all the ingredients but without the queues and tourist prices.
Sightseeing and shopping are close by, allowing you to also savour the less well known ‘jewels’ of Italy, off the beat‘n’track…… why not let us tell you a little more about our Self-Catering Villa with shared**, stunning, infinity swimming pool, Casa Anita, …… named after one of our lovely black Labradors…
** shared; the pool is practically for the exclusive use of the guests at Casa Anita. The owners may occasionally have a swim to cool down.
